New York (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday participated in the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Eight Arab-Islamic Countries, where he underscored the importance of putting the Gaza Peace Plan into effect in full, along with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2803.
Addressing the session, Dar voiced grave concern over repeated breaches of the ceasefire in Gaza and the continued deaths resulting from the violence.

Speaking during the meeting, the DPM/FM expressed serious concern over continued ceasefire violations as well as the loss of lives in Gaza. He strongly condemned the continued illegal settlement activities and settler violence in the Occupied West Bank, and called for rejecting any attempts to undermine the historical status of the holy sites. He also stressed the need for full implementation of the Gaza Peace Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2803. The meeting was convened on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
The deputy prime minister also denounced the persistent construction of illegal settlements and violence by settlers in the Occupied West Bank.
He stressed that any efforts to alter or weaken the established historical status of the holy sites must be firmly rejected.
Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s consistent support for the creation of a sovereign, independent and territorially connected Palestinian state along the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif designated as its capital.
