Lahore (Staff Report): Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday inaugurated shelter home near Lahore’s Railway Station.
Speaking on the occasion, Buzdar said shelter homes would be established in six big hospitals of Lahore and all the divisional headquarters across the province.
He said that the government was committed to provide roof to the people who were sleeping under the open sky.
Last year, Prime Minister Imran Khan laid the foundation stone for a shelter project in Lahore.
Addressing a ceremony after laying the foundation stone, Khan said, "I want to make it clear that the government stands with the decision of the Supreme Court and there will be no compromise on it."
"If a government does not abide by decisions of the Supreme Court that country cannot survive," he asserted.
"The rule of law depends on following verdicts of the Supreme Court and if you do not follow the top court's decision then law finishes in the country," the PM added.
