Begum Kulsoom's condition slightly better than before, says Nawaz

London (Agencies): Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has said that his wife Begum Kulsoom's condition is "slightly better than before", BBC Urdu reported on Thursday night.

During a conversation with BBC Urdu, Nawaz said that he "wished he had come to London before Thursday when she was still conscious and responsive".

Nawaz and his daughter Maryam Nawaz are also in London to inquire after the heath of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.

She suffered cardiac arrest and placed on ventilator. She requested nation to pray for her mother good health.

According to reports Begum Kulsoom Nawaz health was deteriorating for last many days; therefore doctors had already recommended Hasan and Hussain Nawaz to shift their mother to hospital for better treatment. Hussain Nawaz said that they had shifted their mother to hospital on the recommendation of doctors.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari, Syed Khursheed Shah, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf Imran Khan, PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry, Pakistan Muslim League (Quaid-i-Azam) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and other political leaders prayed for good health of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz
