Washington (Web Desk): James Ransone, the renowned American actor, has tragically passed away in what appears to be a suicide. He was best known for his role as Ziggy Sobotka in HBO’s popular series The Wire.
Born in 1979 in Baltimore, Ransone studied at the Carver Center for Arts and Technology in Towson, Maryland, from 1993 to 1997.
His first major role came in the 2002 drama film Ken Park, where he played a supporting character. Just a year later, he gained widespread recognition with his role in The Wire. His most recent appearance on television was in an episode of Poker Face season two, which aired last June.
