Asia Cup victorious Pakistan U19 team receives grand welcome

Islamabad (Web Desk): Pakistan’s Under-19 cricket heroes were accorded a grand welcome at Islamabad International Airport as they returned from Dubai after lifting the Asia Cup by overcoming India in Sunday’s final.

Officials of the Pakistan Cricket Board, including Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed Syed and Director High Performance Aqib Javed, were present at the airport to receive the players and their support staff and to commend them on their remarkable achievement.

The airport echoed with cheers as a sizeable number of cricket fans gathered to applaud the young champions and celebrate what many described as a historic triumph.

The celebratory mood had already set in during the flight home, where a special cake-cutting ceremony took place aboard the PIA aircraft. Passengers, along with the pilots and cabin crew, joined the team in marking the victory.

Throughout the journey, the players warmly interacted with fellow travelers, posing for photographs and selfies, much to the delight of those on board.

Upon landing, the excitement intensified as fireworks lit up the surroundings while the team moved from the aircraft toward the terminal.

The victory sparked widespread appreciation and heartfelt reactions, with many voicing pride in the youngsters for raising the national flag on an international stage.

One passenger praised the team for making the entire country proud, while another called the moment deeply emotional, expressing hope that Pakistan would continue to celebrate many such achievements in the years to come.
