China welcomes US-Iran ceasefire, urges diplomacy and dialogue

Beijing (Web Desk): China has described the current situation in the Middle East as an “important phase of transition from war to peace” and has welcomed the decision to extend the ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

Beijing stated that it is ready to play any constructive role in ensuring long-term stability in the region.

In a statement issued by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, China reiterated its consistent position that all international and regional disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomatic means rather than the use of force.

It urged all parties to avoid escalation and prioritize negotiations.

According to Beijing, the Middle East is currently going through a sensitive period where even minor miscalculations could lead to major conflict.

The statement emphasized that the top priority at this stage is to prevent further expansion of tensions, adding that China remains committed to playing a positive and active role in promoting lasting peace in the region.
