Trump rules out ceasefire extension with Iran, says US to resume military action if a deal isn’t reached

Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has announced a tougher stance on Iran, stating that he is not in favor of extending the current ceasefire and is prepared to resume military operations if necessary.

In an interview with CNBC, President Trump claimed that Iran has repeatedly violated ceasefire agreements, leaving no room for further concessions.

He said, “The US military and I are fully prepared for military action against Iran. America has already achieved military success, and Iran’s defense system, air force, and navy have been nearly destroyed.”

Discussing the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Trump stated that the United States currently has full control over the waterway and that the blockade has proven to be a significant success.

He added that the restriction is causing heavy financial losses to Iran and will remain in place for now.

The US President further urged Iran to come to the negotiating table, stressing that Tehran must be prevented from acquiring nuclear weapons. He warned that if Iran becomes a nuclear power, it would pose a serious threat to regional stability.

Trump also emphasized that the United States is negotiating from a strong position and will not rush into any “bad deal.”

Referring to recent developments in Iran, Trump described the situation as a major political shift and said that a long-term resolution would only come through a comprehensive agreement.

He expressed hope that Iran would agree to a fair deal and focus on rebuilding, but warned that failure to reach an agreement could lead to further complications and make any ceasefire extension unlikely.
