Islamabad (Web Desk): In a major digital advancement, the Supreme Court (SC) has launched a Public Facilitation Portal, a comprehensive online platform developed under the special directions of the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
The system, now available on the top court’s official website, is designed to make the judicial process more transparent, accessible, and user-friendly for all citizens.
The new portal enables users to easily search case details by name, case number, or petition type—offering instant access to information that once required multiple visits.
It also integrates Helpline 1818, providing citizens with direct communication with the Supreme Court for procedural guidance and technical assistance in real time.
To bridge the gap between legal language and public understanding, the portal includes a clear and informative FAQs section, simplifying complex judicial terms and filing procedures.
This is especially useful for individuals without legal counsel, allowing them to interact confidently with the justice system.
The applications status feature allows real-time tracking of requests such as early hearing, adjournments, and video link petitions, reducing administrative delays and unnecessary travel.
This is particularly beneficial for litigants from distant areas or overseas Pakistanis, who can now stay updated without physical presence.
The portal also introduces complaints and inquiries, where citizens can submit grievances, feedback, or suggestions through a feedback portal, ensuring accountability and participation.
Meanwhile, the overseas litigants’ portal extends judicial access to Pakistanis abroad, and an Anti-Corruption Reporting mechanism provides a secure way to report misconduct, reaffirming the court’s commitment to integrity.
With this initiative, the SC takes a significant step toward a transparent and citizen-oriented judiciary.
The public facilitation portal symbolizes a new era where justice is not only delivered but made visible, accessible, and inclusive for every Pakistani.
