President Zardari confers Nishan-i-Imtiaz (M) on Saudi Naval Chief 

Islamabad (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday awarded the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) to Vice Admiral Mohammad Bin Abdul Rehman Al-Ghoraibi, Chief of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, in recognition of his significant contributions to bolstering defence and maritime ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The honour was bestowed during a distinguished investiture ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, attended by Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Bin Saeed Al Malki, and high-ranking officials from Pakistan’s armed forces.

According to the official citation presented at the event, Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi was commended for his remarkable intellect, steadfast dedication, and administrative acumen. Throughout a highly respected military career, he has held several key command and strategic positions, earning accolades for his courage, visionary leadership, and professional excellence.

A notable point in his professional journey is his academic association with Pakistan; he is a graduate of the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore, where he obtained a master’s degree in 2005.

His scholarly achievements and operational leadership have been acknowledged both within Saudi Arabia and internationally, through various military awards and advanced training programmes.

As head of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Al-Ghoraibi has been instrumental in strengthening military collaboration between the two nations. His efforts in expanding joint naval drills, professional training exchanges, and strategic maritime engagement have played a key role in elevating bilateral defence relations.
