Naqvi meets Araghchi to discuss bilateral ties, upcoming Iran-US peace talks

Islamabad (Web Desk): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi travelled to Tehran on Saturday, where he held a meeting with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi as part of discussions focused on the Iran-US ceasefire, according to Iran’s SNN News Agency.

Earlier in the day, Naqvi arrived in Iran’s Mashhad city before continuing his visit to the capital, Tehran, for the high-level diplomatic engagement.

According to Neo News Islamabad correspondent Zeeshan Syed, during the meeting, Interior Minister Naqvi and Iranian FM Abbas Araghchi discussed Pakistan-Iran relations, mutual cooperation, and the overall regional situation in detail.

The two leaders reaffirmed commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran. 
They also agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, border management, and other areas of shared interest.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Iran and sees wide opportunities for expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.

FM Abbas Araghchi also expressed Iran’s desire to further deepen bilateral relations, stressing the need for continued engagement and joint efforts.

Both sides underscored the importance of coordinated efforts for peace and stability in the region and agreed to keep communication channels active to promote closer collaboration in the future.
