DPM Dar departs for Egypt to attend 4th R-4 FMs' meeting

Islamabad (Web Desk): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Saturday left for Cairo, Egypt to attend the 4th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the R-4 Group of Countries, following an invitation from Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty.

The meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan to review regional developments and exchange views on matters related to peace, security, and regional stability.

Building on earlier rounds of discussions, the participating ministers are expected to explore ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

During his visit, Ishaq Dar will also hold bilateral talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty and is scheduled to call on President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

The discussions will focus on enhancing Pakistan-Egypt relations across multiple sectors, along with consultations on regional and international issues of shared concern.

Pakistan has reiterated that it attaches high importance to its relations with Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye.

The R-4 framework reflects the member states’ commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and coordinated efforts for promoting peace and prosperity in the region.
