PM Shehbaz directs timely completion of all development projects

Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday instructed authorities to ensure that every development project of national significance is completed on schedule while meeting the highest quality standards.

The directive came during a meeting with Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Professor Ahsan Iqbal, who briefed the prime minister on the government's ongoing development agenda.

PM Shehbaz said the prompt completion of public projects remains one of the administration's top priorities, noting that such initiatives are essential for improving people's lives, creating employment opportunities and sustaining long-term economic growth.

The meeting featured an extensive review of development work currently underway across the country, including the progress of projects being executed under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

Ahsan Iqbal briefed the prime minister about the implementation status of ongoing schemes, the milestones achieved so far and the roadmap for carrying the projects forward.

The prime minister also instructed all ministries and relevant government departments to strengthen coordination and work more closely together to accelerate the pace of development so that citizens can benefit from these projects as early as possible.

Various aspects of national development and future growth targets were also discussed during the meeting.
