Trump mulls limited military strike to pressure Iran on nuclear deal: report

Washington (Web Desk): United States (US)  President Donald Trump is reportedly considering a limited military operation to pressure Iran into agreeing to a new nuclear deal, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

The proposed action could target Iranian military or governmental facilities.

The report states that the objective of this limited strike would be to compel Iran to accept the terms of the nuclear agreement. However, officials have warned that if Iran refuses, the operation could potentially escalate into a broader conflict.

Earlier, President Trump had emphasized a preference for diplomacy in dealing with Iran, but he also made it clear that military force would not be ruled out if necessary.

In a recent address, he warned Iran of serious consequences if it fails to comply with the agreement.

President Trump further stated that Iran would under no circumstances be allowed to possess nuclear weapons and urged the country to choose the path of peace.
