Renowned singer Nayyara Noor remembered on her death anniversary

Karachi (Web Desk): The fourth death anniversary of legendary singer Nayyara Noor, also known as 'Bulbul-e-Pakistan' is being observed today (Thursday).

Born in 1950, Nayyara Noor became one of the country’s most distinguished voices, leaving her mark through an extensive repertoire of film songs, ghazals and patriotic compositions.

Some of her most memorable performances include ‘Watan Ki Mitti Gawah Rehna’, ‘Aye Jazba-e-Dil Gar Mein Chahun’, ‘Roothay Ho Tum’, and ‘Kabhi Hum Bhi Khoobsurat Thay’, all of which remain popular among music lovers.

Her remarkable contribution to Pakistan’s cultural and artistic landscape was formally recognised when she received the Presidential Pride of Performance Award in 2006.

Even years after her death, Nayyara Noor’s enchanting voice continues to evoke nostalgia and remains deeply cherished by audiences across generations.

The celebrated singer passed in Karachi on August 20, 2022, leaving behind a rich musical legacy that continues to endure.
