Interior Minister Naqvi, US envoy Natalie discuss bilateral ties and 'Islamabad Talks' security

Islamabad (Web Desk): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Monday visited the United States Embassy in the Diplomatic Enclave, Islamabad and held a meeting with US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Baker.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on Pakistan–US relations, regional security developments, and matters of mutual interest. They also exchanged views on the latest situation in the Middle East and broader regional dynamics.

The US Chargé d’Affaires appreciated Pakistan’s sincere and constructive role in helping reduce tensions and promoting stability in the region.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi briefed the US diplomat on the comprehensive and robust security arrangements put in place for the second round of negotiations scheduled to be held in Islamabad.

He said that the government is utilizing all available resources to ensure the safe and successful conduct of these international talks.

Naqvi also expressed his goodwill, stating that he prays for the successful outcome of the second round of talks being held in the federal capital.

Both sides agreed on further strengthening Pakistan–US relations and expanding cooperation across multiple areas.

According to diplomatic observers, the meeting comes at a time of heightened tensions between Iran and the US, with Pakistan once again emerging as a potential facilitator of dialogue and regional peace.

The interior minister’s security briefing was seen as a reflection of Pakistan’s commitment to providing a secure and stable environment for international diplomatic engagements.
