President Zardari witnesses signing of MoUs to enhance Pak-China cooperation

Urumqi (Web Desk): President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday witnessed the signing of three important Memorandums of Understanding between Pakistani and Chinese companies to expand collaboration in diverse areas.

The first agreement was inked between Loyang Modern Biotechnologies and the Sindh government, represented by Minister Nasir Shah, aimed at transforming Pakistan’s livestock sector with modern techniques.

The second understanding was reached between Beijing Asian Africa Longyue and ASM Services to promote and establish a state-of-the-art textile industrial park in Pakistan.

The third deal was signed by Sichuan Chuanxiao Fire Trucks Manufacturing Company and ASM Services, setting out plans for joint work in the supply, distribution, marketing, and maintenance of fire trucks and advanced emergency response equipment for Pakistan.

Addressing the ceremony, President Zardari said that these MoUs would pave the way for fresh avenues of partnership between Pakistan and China in areas directly linked to economic progress and public welfare.

He emphasized that improving the livestock industry would not only enhance food security but also generate jobs in rural communities, the textile project would help drive industrial growth and exports, while the cooperation on fire trucks and emergency systems would strengthen Pakistan’s disaster management capacity and safeguard its citizens.

Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s envoy to China, and the Chinese ambassador to Pakistan were also in attendance.
