Punjab govt expands free Wi-Fi service to 22 districts

Lahore (Web Desk): The free Wi-Fi service in Punjab has been significantly expanded. As per the instructions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, CM Free Wi-Fi is now available at 430 locations in Lahore, up from 230 previously. Additionally, the service under the Safe City Program has been extended from 11 districts to 22 districts across the province.

Free Wi-Fi is now being provided at a total of 710 locations, including Lahore, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Gujrat, Jhelum, Attock, Hassan Abdal, Sahiwal, Okara, and Murree.

A spokesperson for Safe Cities explained that the service is primarily intended for emergency use and essential needs, and should not be used for entertainment or video streaming purposes.
