Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz directs stricter security measures during Ramadan

Lahore (Web Desk): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the implementation of stricter security measures across the province during Ramadan. She emphasized foolproof security at mosques, imambargahs, and other places of worship to prevent any untoward incidents.

Additionally, the Chief Minister ordered the deployment of extra security personnel in markets, bazaars, and public places. She also instructed the installation of CCTV cameras, walkthrough gates, and search lights to enhance surveillance.

For Friday prayers and Taraweeh gatherings, security will be bolstered through a three-layer security plan, including barriers and barbed wire at sensitive locations.

Maryam Nawaz also directed an increase in police patrols, snap-checking, and intensified search operations around places of worship.

The goal of these measures is to ensure the safety and protection of citizens' lives and property during Ramadan. She emphasized that there will be no compromise on security during this sacred month.
