Rivers in Punjab returning to normal levels after weeks of high flow: PDMA 

Lahore (Web Desk): The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) in Punjab has shared that the situation in major rivers of the province is largely returning to normal.

According to PDMA Spokesperson, the Indus, Jhelum and Ravi are flowing smoothly without any abnormal rise, while the Chenab is also stable at key points such as Qadirabad, Trimmu, Marala and Khanki.

At Panjnad, a low-level flood persists though the flow has reduced to 194,000 cusecs.

The Sutlej River, meanwhile, is experiencing moderate flooding near Ganda Singh Wala, along with low-level flooding at Sulemanki and Islam headworks.

Looking ahead, the authority has cautioned about the possibility of rainfall in several districts over the next day, with Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiyat, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhang and Sargodha among the areas expected to receive showers.
