Four Khwarij killed as security forces foil suicide attack in North Waziristan's Mir Ali  

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): At least four khwarij have been killed after the security forces foiled a suicide attack in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, the security sources said on Friday.

According to security sources, a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-packed vehicle into a military camp. Immediately after the explosion, three armed assailants attempted to breach the compound but were swiftly taken down by the forces in a prompt and valiant counteraction.

The security officials confirmed that all four attackers were eliminated and that no losses were reported among the troops. Their quick response prevented what could have been a devastating strike.

Security sources said the incident adds to the growing toll of Afghan Taliban-backed TTP militants killed in recent days, raising the number to 88 within the last forty-eight hours.

A day earlier, the Pakistan Army had successfully repelled another infiltration bid in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing between 45 and 50 terrorists belonging to the Indian-sponsored Fitna al-Khawarij network.

The militants had tried to slip across the border into Pakistan under the cover of a temporary ceasefire between Islamabad and Kabul.
