Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has ordered the Ministry of Water and Power to ensure proper power supply to every part of the country during ICC Champions Trophy final scheduled on June 18 as both arch-rivals are all set for high-voltage match.
The directives were issued as Pakistani fans are anxiously waiting for the high-octane clash between traditional rivals clashing for the second time during the same tournament.
The Water and Power Ministry has summoned details from power distribution companies regarding the supply, demand and shortfall of electricity.
The ministry has also informed PM that the match will not be disrupted due to power outages.
This is the first time that Pakistan will be playing the final of Champions Trophy and cricket fans are expecting an exciting encounter with India at the historic Oval.
