Peshawar (Staff Report): State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has said that only those areas are experiencing load-shedding where electricity theft is on the rise.
State Minister for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali today (Thursday) said that Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) leader District Nazim of Charsadda is also involved in electricity theft.
While addressing a press conference, the state minister said that electricity will be provided to only those areas in 2018 which regularly pay their bills.
He further stated that The Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) was in a miserable condition during the tenure of the previous two governments and not a single penny was spent on the transmission side. PESCO’s conditions improved after 2013.
He further claimed that power sector suffers when political people also become electricity thieve.
