Senior journalist and writer Altaf Hassan Qureshi passes away at 94

Lahore (Web Desk): Renowned senior journalist, writer, and intellectual Altaf Hassan Qureshi has passed away at the age of 94 in Lahore.

According to details, he had been unwell for some time and was under medical care.

Family sources said that his funeral prayer will be offered tomorrow (Sunday) after Zuhr prayers at Jamia Ashrafia, Lahore.

He is survived by five sons and four daughters.

Altaf Hassan Qureshi served for a long time as the editor-in-chief of the well-known monthly magazine “Urdu Digest” and was widely respected in literary and journalistic circles.

His notable works include “Mulaqatein,” “Muqabil Hai Aaina,” “Chhe Nukaat Ki Sachi Tasveer,” “Nok-e-Zuban,” and “Mashriqi Pakistan: Toota Hua Tara,” among others.
