WhatsApp introduces new privacy check tool for status updates

California (Web Desk): WhatsApp has introduced a new privacy check tool in its Status feature, allowing users to easily see who has viewed their status updates and who can view them in the future.

Details reveal that this new feature is available in Beta version 2.26.2.9 and gives users the ability to quickly and clearly review their status privacy settings, viewer details, and resharing rules.

Previously, it was difficult for users to know who their status updates were shared with or who could potentially reshare them. However, with this new tool, all these details will now be presented in a clear and straightforward manner.

When users open their WhatsApp Status and select the Audience option in the menu, a summary page will appear, clearly indicating whether the status update is shared with all contacts or is restricted to a specific group. If there are any exceptions in the privacy settings, they will also be displayed here.
