Afghan Taliban regime devises plan to confiscate residential properties of common people 

Kabul (Web Desk): The Afghan Taliban regime has been exposed for devising a plan to confiscate the residential properties of the common people.

According to the Afghan media outlet Afghanistan International, the new legislation allows the government to reclassify privately owned residential land as state property, after which it can be taken over and later resold to the public.

Under this legal framework, past ownership records can be annulled, effectively stripping residents of their established property rights.

Once land is declared government-owned, it may be redistributed or sold again to individuals under state control.

The report adds that the measure significantly expands the authorities’ reach over housing areas and residential developments, giving them the power to absorb existing settlements into state ownership.

It is also reported that in recent times, thousands of acres of privately held land across different regions have already been brought under government control after being officially registered as public property.

Observers and policy experts argue that the intent behind the move is to redirect land and assets from ordinary citizens toward Taliban affiliates and commanders, using redistribution as a means of reward and political patronage.
