Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Security forces killed 13 Khwarij belonging to Indian proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in two separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) during the last two days, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on reported presence of Khwarij, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted by the security forces in Bannu District.
“During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location and after an intense fire exchange, eight Khwarij were sent to hell,”.it said.
Another IBO was conducted by Security forces in Kurram District. In ensuing fire exchange, five Khwarij were effectively neutralized.
The military’s media wing said that sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored Kharji found in the area.
“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision "Azm e Istehkam" (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have applauded the security forces for their latest successful operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where thirteen Khwarij were neutralised. In separate messages, both leaders acknowledged the professionalism and courage shown by the forces in carrying out the action.
They noted that the ongoing Azm-e-Istehkam campaign is delivering meaningful results in the fight against terrorism, with security agencies steadily weakening extremist networks.
Emphasising the importance of these achievements, the president and the prime minister said such operations are vital for restoring peace and stability in the country.
They also expressed solidarity with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, saying the people of Pakistan stand firmly behind them.
President Zardari and PM Shehbaz reaffirmed that the entire nation remains united in its determination to eliminate the threat of terrorism and ensure a safer future for all citizens.
