Islamabad (Staff Report): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced to reduce the prices of petroleum products.
Addressing the nation, the premier said the prices of petroleum products were declining in the international market, therefore, the government had decided to pass on the relief to people. He said that the price of petrol decreased by Rs18.50 and diesel price slashed by Rs40.54 per litre.
PM Sharif also lauded the efforts of Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and his team to ink a deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The PM said we should learn lessons from the bad experiences of the past that wasted millions of country's economy. He said Agriculture, IT and export based industry are our priority areas where we will put all our efforts to make the country economically stable.
The new price of petrol will be Rs230.24 per litre while diesel will be available at Rs236 per litre.
