Three terrorists killed during successful CTD operation in KP’s DI Khan 

Dera Ismail Khan (Web Desk): The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)in Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa’s (KP) Dera Ismail (DI) Khan district carried out a major intelligence-based operation (IBO) that resulted in the killing of three militants during a fierce exchange of fire.

According to CTD officials, the killed militants were identified as Nematullah, Abdul Rauf Afghani, and Mustafa.

Authorities said the three men were actively involved in attacks on police and security forces and had been on the wanted list of law enforcement agencies for a long time.

Their presence in the area had been tracked through intelligence, leading to the operation that culminated in the encounter.

According to the official handout, KP’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Zulfiqar Hameed and the Additional Inspector General of the Counter Terrorism Department praised the special weapons and tactics teams of the CTD for successfully carrying out the operation.

They said intelligence-baased actions against Fitna-al-Khawarij would now be further stepped up to set a strong example for others.

The police chief added that any assault on police or security personnel would be answered with a harsh and decisive response, and stressed that the fight would continue until every last khawarij is wiped out.

Separately, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi lauded the CTD for killing three militants described as Indian-backed in Dera Ismail Khan, according to a statement issued by his ministry.

The statement noted that the courage and professional skills of the CTD officers had foiled the dangerous plans of the terrorists.

Naqvi was quoted as saying that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the security forces in their effort to completely eliminate the threat posed by Fitna-al-Hindustan.
