Operation Ghazab lil-Haq: Atta Tarar says 663 Afghan combatants and Fitna Al Khawarij killed so far

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar announced on Friday that Pakistan’s security forces have killed 663 militants linked to the Afghan Taliban regime and the group identified as Fitna Al Khawarij in the ongoing Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.

Presenting an operational update at 4:00pm, the federal minister for information and broadcasting said the campaign had also led to the destruction of 249 militant checkpoints, while 44 additional posts were seized by Pakistani forces. He further stated that the ongoing operation had left more than 887 Afghan fighters wounded.

Tarar added that militant hardware had also suffered extensive damage, noting that roughly 224 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery systems were destroyed during the course of the operation.

According to the minister, around 70 terrorist hideouts and support facilities located in different parts of Afghanistan were effectively struck through aerial operations.

e said that on the night between March 12 and 13, 2026, Pakistan carried out successful strikes against installations associated with militant groups inside Afghanistan.

Targets in Kabul, Paktia and Kandahar included terrorist infrastructure such as logistics centres and training camps, he explained.

The minister also shared a video on the social media platform X, which he said demonstrated that Pakistan’s strikes were carefully directed at facilities that directly or indirectly aided terrorist activities emanating from Afghan soil.

He emphasised that civilian populations and public infrastructure were not targeted, dismissing claims by Afghan authorities and certain media outlets as misleading.
