Operation Ghazab lil-Haq: 415 Afghan combatants killed, 580 injured and 182 check posts destroyed, says Tarar

Islamabad (Web Desk): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Sunday that the security forces have eliminated 415 fighters belonging to the Afghan Taliban, dismantled 182 of their positions, and taken 31 into custody during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq.

He said the operation was initiated in response to as unprovoked actions originating from across the border.

Sharing an update on the situation as of 16:00 hours, the minister reported that more than 580 Afghan personnel had sustained injuries in the course of Operation Ghazab lil-Haq (Righteous Fury).

Tarar further stated that roughly 185 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery units were destroyed during the operation.

The information minister also noted that airstrikes effectively targeted 46 sites in different parts of Afghanistan as part of the offensive.
