PM Shehbaz in Qatar to condole former emir’s death 

Doha (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha Monday for a day-long visit to Qatar to express Pakistan’s condolences over the death of the country’s former emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Upon arrival at Doha Airport, PM Shehbaz, former premier Nawaz Sharif and other members of Pakistani delegation, were received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence of Qatar, Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani.
The prime minister proceeded to Lusail Palace, where he will meet Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

Earlier, Prime Minister's Office (PMO), stated that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, as well as Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar are accompanying the premier during the visit.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will meet Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and offer condolences to him, the Qatari royal family, and the people of Qatar over the demise of the late leader.

The visit highlights the enduring and longstanding fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Qatar, reflecting the close bonds shared by the leadership and people of both nations over the years.
