Karachi (Web Desk): A 9-member provincial cabinet of Sindh oath at a ceremony held at Sindh Governor House in Karachi on Tuesday.
Sindh Govenor Kamran Tessori administered the oath to the newly appointed provincial ministers.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, lawmakers and top provincial govt officials attended the ceremony.
The ministers who took oath include, Sharjeel Inam Memon, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Saeed Ghani, Sardar Shah, Ezra Fazal Pechuho, Muhammad Bakhsh Mehr, Zia-ul-Najjar, Jam Khan Shoro and Ali Hasan Zardari.
According to a statement by CM House spokesperson, Sharjeel Memon has been assigned the portfolios of the Department of Transport and Mass Transit and the Department of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics.
Dr Azra Pechuho has been given the Ministry of Health and Population Welfare while Syed Nasir Hussain Shah has been assigned the portfolio of the Department of Energy and Planning and Development.
Syed Sardar Ali Shah has given the portfolio of Department of School Education and Literacy, Department of College Education and Department of Mines and Minerals Development while Saeed Ghani has been entrusted with the portfolio of Local Government and Housing Town Planning Department and Public Health Engineering and Rural Development.
Jam Khan Shoro has been given the Ministry of Irrigation and Foodstuffs Department while Zia Lanjar has been assigned the portfolios of Interior and Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Criminal Prosecution.
Mohammad Bux Mahar has been assigned the portfolios of Agriculture, Supply and Price, Sports and Youth Affairs and Inquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment while Ali Hassan Zardari has been given the portfolio of prisons.
Syed Zulfikar Ali Shah was assigned the portfolio of Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives.
Meanwhile, Allah Bakhsh Dino Khan Bhio has been appointed as an adviser on forest, and wildlife department, Ehsanur Rehman Mazari adviser on inter-provincial coordination, and Syed Najmi Alam has been appointed adviser on human settlement, special development & social housing, and livestock and fisheries departments.
