US calls Hezbollah tunnel removal a key step for Lebanon’s stability

Washington (Web Desk): The United States has described the removal of Hezbollah tunnels in Lebanon as a crucial step toward ensuring peace and stability in the country and the broader Middle East region.

According to US Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, these tunnels were being used by non-state actors to store weapons, including ammunition, missiles, and suicide drones, posing a significant security threat. The elimination of these tunnels is expected to considerably improve the safety and stability of the region.

Admiral Cooper highlighted that this achievement reflects the professional work of the Lebanese Armed Forces, who played a central role in the operation. He also commended the efforts of the US-led mechanical team that supported the implementation of agreements between Israel and Lebanon, ensuring that the operation was carried out safely and effectively.
