China sets new record with 22.13 km long highway tunnel

Beijing (Web Desk): China has achieved a new milestone in modern infrastructure by constructing a 22.13-kilometer-long highway tunnel, capturing global attention. According to Chinese media, this colossal tunnel not only sets a new world record but also redefines traditional concepts of travel.

Routes that previously took hours to traverse due to complex mountain paths and dangerous curves can now be covered in mere minutes.

While Norway’s Lærdal Tunnel remains the world’s longest at 24.5 kilometers, China’s new tunnel is specially designed for high-speed express traffic, allowing uninterrupted movement of both passenger vehicles and heavy trucks.
