New online passport verification system introduced

Lahore (Web Desk): A new online system for fingerprint verification of passport applicants has been introduced in Pakistan, thanks to the efforts of the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) and collaboration with NADRA.

According to the details, passport applicants can now easily verify their fingerprints through the NADRA "Pak ID" app. In case of any issues with fingerprint verification, a face verification option will also be available as an alternative.

DG of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, stated that their goal is to introduce every possible modern facility to make the process easier for citizens. He emphasized that this new system will be especially beneficial for overseas Pakistanis and senior citizens, who had previously faced difficulties with fingerprint verification.

This new system aims to streamline the passport verification process, making it faster, more secure, and accessible for both local and overseas Pakistanis.
