Islamabad (Staff Report): Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on Wednesday ordered the verification of lawyers’ degrees across the country from 2005 onwards.
While hearing a suo motu case regarding the verification of degrees, the top judge directed that the verification process will take place at the additional registrar’s office, sending jitters through the legal fraternity, brimming with ‘black sheeps’.
He also directed the Higher Education Commission to provide assistance in this regard.
The hearing of the case has been adjourned until July 10.
