'I don't care': Trump says it makes 'no difference' to him if Iran, US reach deal

Washington (Web Desk): US President Donald Trump, speaking to reporters at the White House, adopted a notably assertive and triumphant tone regarding the recent escalation with Iran.

He stated that Washington has little concern for any potential agreement with Tehran, arguing that the United States has already demonstrated its military superiority.

He said whether or not a deal is reached with Iran “makes no difference to me”.

“Let’s see what happens, but from my standpoint I don’t care,” Trump said.

The US President further announced that, following recent US operations, naval mines laid in the Strait of Hormuz had been cleared, describing the development as a significant strategic success.

He also issued a warning to China, saying that any attempt by Beijing to supply weapons to Tehran would lead to what he called “very serious problems.”

Turning to the role of alliances, Trump criticized NATO, describing its response to the crisis as disappointing and arguing that allied nations had failed to provide the level of cooperation expected from them.

He claimed that oil tankers from various parts of the world were now heading toward the United States to refuel, suggesting that this development reflects growing confidence in the US economy and its strategic position.

The US President also took aim at the American media, dismissing it as “completely unreliable.” He accused several outlets of spreading false narratives that Iran was gaining the upper hand in the conflict, insisting instead that the situation on the ground tells a different story.

In a pointed remark, he said that parts of the media were suffering from what he termed “Trump syndrome,” which, according to him, prevents them from accurately assessing reality.
