Islamabad (Web Desk): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has upgraded its Complaint Management System (CMS) to improve the handling of telecom users’ complaints and ensure their timely resolution.
The authority has also introduced an upgraded CMS mobile application, allowing users to submit complaints more conveniently and monitor the progress of their cases through their mobile phones.
According to the PTA, the redesigned application places particular emphasis on user convenience and data security.
An OTP-based multi-factor authentication feature has also been incorporated to strengthen account protection.
The updated app will be available for both Android and iOS users. Consumers will be able to lodge complaints digitally and track their status without having to go through complicated procedures.
The PTA said the complaint verification and review process has also been improved, while uploading relevant documents has been made easier for users.
A new module has additionally been incorporated into the CMS to enable users to report suspected fraudulent activity involving mobile numbers.
Through this feature, consumers can directly inform the PTA about suspicious or unusual activities linked to specific mobile numbers.
The authority said the upgraded system is aimed at making the complaint process more accessible, transparent and efficient while ensuring that issues related to telecom services are addressed within a shorter period.
