Pakistan remembers Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his 78th death anniversary

Islamabad (Web Desk): The 78th death anniversary of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, is being observed today (Friday) across the country with solemnity and respect.

The Quaid’s remarkable journey continues to remind the nation of the importance of determination, discipline and unwavering commitment to a clear objective. His character and leadership demonstrated how these qualities can help a nation navigate difficult circumstances, confront crises and turn challenges into opportunities.

His principles remain relevant in dealing with a wide range of issues, including political, social, cultural and economic pressures as well as growing environmental and climate-related threats. His vision continues to provide direction and inspiration in times of difficulty.

Quaid-e-Azam believed that a nation’s lasting stability depended on strong institutions trusted by the people, respect for constitutional continuity and equal application of the law.

To mark the occasion, Quran Khawani will be held at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi, while special prayers will be offered at mosques throughout the country for the departed soul of the nation’s founder.

People belonging to different sections of society, including government officials, political leaders and party workers, will visit the mausoleum to express their respect and pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam’s historic services.

Various government and private organisations, as well as educational institutions, will organise commemorative events focusing on different dimensions of the Quaid’s life, character and leadership. The programmes will recall his pivotal role in bringing the Muslims of the Subcontinent together in the struggle for an independent homeland.

National and private television (TV) and Radio channels will air programmes to commemorate the great leader and highlight his contributions to the creation of Pakistan. Selected portions of his speeches will be aired as part of these programmes, allowing audiences to revisit his message and political vision.

The enduring legacy of Quaid-e-Azam continues to emphasise the value of perseverance, discipline and steadfastness in pursuing national objectives. His example offers guidance for confronting political, social, economic and climate-related challenges facing society today.
