Nation pays homage to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on 77th death anniversary

Islamabad (Web Desk): The 77th death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was observed on Thursday with deep reverence, as the nation renewed its resolve to adhere to his guiding motto of unity, faith, and discipline.

The day dawned with prayers offered at mosques and other places of worship, seeking blessings for the departed soul and prosperity for the country.

Jinnah, who united the Muslims of the Subcontinent under the All-India Muslim League, led the party from 1913 until the creation of Pakistan on August 14, 1947.

He passed away on September 11, 1948, just over a year after the historic achievement of independence.

On the occasion, Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan private radio and TV channels aired special programs to pay homage to his leadership and lifelong struggle for a separate homeland. Across the country, tributes were offered to acknowledge his decisive role in the establishment of Pakistan.

At Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, Quran Khawani and Fateha were held, attended by people from different walks of life who came to honour his memory. Political leaders and government officials also visited the mausoleum to lay floral wreaths and pay their respects.

Quaid-e-Azam’s vision and unwavering determination for the cause of Pakistan remain a source of inspiration for generations.

 His anniversary once again reminded the nation of the values he left behind, urging adherence to his principles of unity, faith, and discipline.
