Lahore (Web Desk): Senior Minister of Punjab, Maryam Aurangzeb, addressed a conference, announcing that the government will introduce a comprehensive weather forecasting system by June 2026 to mitigate the impacts of climate change.
She stated that industries are being brought on board to control environmental pollution, and modern methods are being introduced in the agricultural sector as well. Environmental Protection Cells are being established across the province, including in Lahore.
Additionally, it was announced that carbon checking systems will be made mandatory at all petrol pumps in the province to help reduce pollution levels.
