Punjab govt announces summer holidays for schools from May 22

Lahore (Web Desk): The Government of Punjab has officially announced summer vacations for all public and private schools across the province.

According to Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan, the decision has been taken in view of the increasing heat intensity to ensure the safety and well-being of students.

He said that summer holidays in all educational institutions across Punjab will begin on 22 May, while schools will reopen on 24 August after an extended break.

The schedule has been approved by the Punjab Cabinet, aimed at protecting children from the impacts of heatwaves and extreme weather conditions.

Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan clarified that the decision will apply uniformly to all government and private schools across the province without exception.
