PSL 11: Peshawar Zalmi defeat Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs

Karachi (Web Desk): In the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Peshawar Zalmi registered a commanding 76-run victory over Lahore Qalandars.

In the match played in Karachi, Peshawar Zalmi posted a total of 173 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after batting first.

Kusal Mendis played a brilliant knock of 74 runs, while captain Babar Azam contributed 43 runs. For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi took three wickets and Mustafizur Rahman claimed two wickets.

Chasing the target, Lahore Qalandars’ batting lineup once again collapsed as the entire team was bowled out for just 97 runs in 17 overs.

Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique scored 21 runs each, while Wella Lage added 20 runs.

For Zalmi, Michael Bracewell and Sufiyan Muqeem took three wickets each.

This marks Lahore Qalandars’ second consecutive defeat in Karachi, where they have been bowled out for 100 or fewer runs.
