Netflix introduces video game streaming on TV    

California (Web Desk): The American streaming platform Netflix has introduced a new feature for its users that allows them to play video games on their TV. With this feature, users can now use their mobile phones as controllers to play games on the big screen.

According to foreign media reports, Netflix’s co-CEO Greg Peters announced at Bloomberg’s “Screen Time Conference” that this step marks the beginning of a new era in the world of entertainment. He said the company is also developing social games that friends and family can play together in the future.

Initially, Netflix has introduced a few popular games including Boggle Party, Tetris Time Warp, Pictionary Game Night, and Lego Party. Users can play these games on smart TVs or streaming devices like Roku, and to connect the mobile phone as a controller, they will need to scan a QR code.

According to Allen Tascan, head of Netflix’s gaming division, the company is working on improving its cloud gaming system as part of a long-term plan. He said the goal is to transform Netflix from just a movie and TV show streaming service into a complete entertainment platform.
