Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday welcomed the inflow of $4.3 billion in remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis during May 2026, describing it as a strong indicator of economic support from abroad.
In an official statement released through the PM Office Media Wing, it was noted that the remittances recorded in May 2026 rose by 20.2% compared to the previous month and were also up by 15.4% on a year-on-year basis, reflecting a notable upward trend.
The prime minister further remarked that the trust of overseas Pakistanis in the country’s economy and their continued financial contribution remain a key national strength and a valuable asset for Pakistan.
