Muzaffarabad (Web Desk): At least 13 people died after a passenger jeep plunged into river in Neelum valley in in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) on Wednesday.
According to details, the vehicle carrying around 20 passengers was traveling from Lawat Bala in Neelum Valley to Muzaffarabad when it fell into the river on Neelum Highway killing six men, four women and three children.
As per the rescue sources, the accident occurred due to slippage during the rain due to which relief work faced difficulties, however locals of the area helped to evacuate the passengers.
The injured were shifted to CMH, Muzaffarabad.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grief over the deaths after a jeep plunged into a river in Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir.
The president prayed to Allah Almighty for peace for the departed souls, sympathised with the bereaved families and also prayed for strength to them to bear the loss.
