3 soldiers martyred in exchange of fire with terrorists in South Waziristan

Rawalpindi (Web Desk): Three soldiers of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom while gallantly fighting against terrorists during a fire exchange in South Waziristan district on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during intense exchange of fire, three brave soldiers including Sepoy Asad Ullah, 30, resident of Mitiari district, Sepoy Muhammad Sufyan, 28, resident of DI Khan district and Non-Combatant Bearer Zain Ali, 24, resident of Bahwalnagar district, having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat (martyrdom).

The military’s media wing said that the sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any terrorists found in the area.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the ISPR said.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of three personnel of security forces who laid down their lives while fighting with terrorists in South Waziristan.

The prime minister prayed for the eternal peace of departed souls and for the bereaved families to bear the losses with equanimity.

The prime minister further said that Sepoy Asadullah, sepoy Muhammad Suffyan and non-combatant bearer Zain Ali embraced martyrdom while setting a precedent of bravery and valour.

He said that the entire nation, including him, pays tribute to their sacrifices.

PM Shehbaz said that the entire nation is unitedly standing along with its armed forces to eliminate the spectre of terrorism from the country.

The prime minister also reiterated the resolve to continue fight against terrorism till its complete elimination.
