Asia Cup 2025 trophy unveiled in Dubai ceremony 

Dubai (Web Desk): The Asia Cup countdown officially hit top gear in Dubai with the glittering trophy taking center stage at a high-profile unveiling.

Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi led the ceremony, joined by the captains of all eight competing sides.

Pakistan’s captain Salman Ali Agha stood shoulder to shoulder with his counterparts for the traditional trophy shots that signaled the start of the continental showdown.

The occasion brought together cricket’s powerbrokers and skippers from across Asia, with Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Oman, UAE, and Hong Kong all represented.

The event not only showcased the trophy but also set the tone for what promises to be an intense battle for supremacy.

Once the ceremonial photographs wrapped up, the captains moved into a lively media session, where each outlined ambitions for their squads and spoke on the weight the Asia Cup carries as a marquee event.

This year’s edition is locked in the T20 format, featuring two groups of four. Group A lines up Pakistan, India, Oman, and tournament hosts UAE, while Group B will see Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Hong Kong in action.

The race heats up with the top two from each pool advancing to the Super Four stage on September 20, paving the way to the grand finale on September 28.

With the silverware now revealed and fixtures confirmed, anticipation is at fever pitch as Asia’s finest gear up not only for regional bragging rights but also to sharpen their arsenals ahead of the T20 World Cup.
