PM chairs-high-level consultative meeting as Islamabad prepares for US-Iran negotiations

Islamabad (Web Desk): A high-level consultative meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif last night, brought together Pakistan’s military leadership and federal ministers to discuss strategy regarding the recent ceasefire in the Middle East and ongoing key negotiations in Islamabad.

Participants included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and the Foreign Secretary. Attendees received detailed briefings on the progress of Islamabad-mediated talks and the broader regional situation.

The meeting expressed satisfaction over Pakistan’s positive and constructive role in facilitating the Middle East ceasefire, noting that the country’s shuttle diplomacy has been widely recognized and praised at the international level.

Pakistan’s efforts have helped build trust among global powers and regional nations.

Special appreciation was extended to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for his key role in supporting the ceasefire and assisting diplomatic efforts.

Participants highlighted that the insight and efforts of Pakistan’s military leadership have enhanced the country’s diplomatic stature on the global stage.
