Netanyahu announces direct talks with Lebanon 'as soon as possible'

Jerusalem (Web Desk): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel will begin direct negotiations with Lebanon “as soon as possible.”

He stated that in light of Lebanon’s repeated calls for direct talks, he has instructed the cabinet to initiate discussions without delay.

According to Netanyahu, these talks will primarily focus on disarming Hezbollah and establishing peaceful relations between Israel and Lebanon.

He also welcomed Lebanon’s Prime Minister’s recent appeal to demilitarize Beirut, describing it as a positive step.
